Tower of Rhytm

  • Design by Troels Grum-Schwensen 2021
  • Prototype/one-off, executed by Kjeldtoft Møbelsnedkeri

The tower is meant as a rhymical architectonic object.

The rhythm is marked vertically – by the alternating introvert an extrovert plateaus.

The four columns are each made by 4 pieces, assembled in the levels of the cantilevered plateaus.

This “flat-pack”-object can be assembled – and divided – by hand only; no screws, no tools needed.

Over time the structure can be transformed and adapted according to changing needs and setting.

The exhibited prototype can be seen as an architectonical experiment, which I might later further-develop into a complete storage- or shelving-system.
